If you are looking to learn the basic crochet stitches, these next few weeks are for you! Today, I will focus on just the basic single crochet. Just one square should be enough practice for you to get the stitch down fairly comfortably. Once you have this and the other basic stitches (half double crochet, double crochet, & treble crochet) down, you will be ready to tackle almost any crochet pattern. The squares following the basics (along with the squares that have preceded this post) will show you different ways to use these stitches to make various effects.
