As Seen Online...

When I saw a No Sew Pillowcase Dress on Pinterest, I knew I had to make one!
The instructions are so easy to follow and the entire dress took me less than 30 minutes to make.

It was inexpensive, too!  I went to Walmart and found:
2 bandanas for $1 each;
a package of Stitch Witchery for under $2 (it's 20 yards, so there is a ton left over!);
And I found the perfect color of ribbon in the little $1 bin!

This was my first time working with Stitch Witchery, and I have to say it was very easy! The entire project was easy, easy, easy! Thank you Scattered Thoughts of a Crafty Mom for such a great tutorial!

My kids love music!
They can turn just about anything into a musical instrument... a bucket, a couple of sticks, various bumpy objects that they can run something across to make sound... you get the idea.

When I saw a tutorial for a Drinking Straw Flute from Relentlessly Fun, Deceptively Educational (you should totally check her site out!), I knew my kids would love it!
We just had to make a few of our own!

I like the fact that this project incorporated measuring and size relations, as well as the musical aspect of it. Learning has never been so fun!

As Seen Online...

As soon as I saw the cute little recycled t-shirt Barefoot Sandals that Lauren from Tutus and Tea Parties made, I knew I wanted to make some for my 1 1/2 year old!

I didn't have a shirt in mind to use, but I was at the store and standing in front of the felt display. I was going to get pink and white, then find a shirt later... they were out of pink! So, I just got white. I figured I could always take a marker to it and color it the color I needed, if necessary.

It turned out that I did use a pink shirt... but I realized that the felt wouldn't really show anyway, so I just left it white.
My daughter loves her barefoot sandals!

They were very easy to make and didn't take much time at all. Lauren's tutorial was easy to follow and a lot of fun!

As Seen Online...

I had the opportunity this week to make a couple of things that I've seen online recently.

The first thing I made was a batch of super yummy Coconut Bounty Bites from Stephanie at Silver Boxes. She has a really cool blog with crafts, makeovers, and recipes. You should totally check it out!
Here are my Coconut Bounty Bites:

These were soooo yummy!
I don't know which part was better, the fact that I was able to whip them up in about fifteen minutes, the fact that there was only 4 ingredients, or the fact that they were a total hit with my family. ...not that I shared many with them....


I think the next time I make them, I will take half of the batch and place an almond on top. Or maybe a half of an almond or an almond slice. I think it will be both yummy and pretty!
