IMPORTANT NOTE

Hello, and welcome.
I would like to inform you that I AM MOVING.
...well, sort of. I have started a new blog, Oui Crochet, that focuses just on crochet, crochet patterns, and crochet resources. I am in the process of building it up as a one stop shop for all things crochet, and I am very excited about it. I hope you will come over and check out my progress. :)
I will be moving my patterns from this site, to my new site. My idea is to leave this site active, so that you can still access other aspects of this site. I will also leave a modified "introduction" post where each pattern is on this site, as to keep all links active and make it so that you can easily locate the pattern's new home. As an added bonus, you will also find new printable/downloadable versions of my patterns.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure you, this change is a positive one. I look forward to seeing you at Oui Crochet.
Happy Crocheting!

Little Crochet Football (free pattern)

Remember the Newborn Football Hat and Booties I shared a little while back? Well, I had a little more of the same yarn, so I used it to make a little matching football!
My football looks slightly lumpy, doesn't it? Okay... I'll confess. I didn't have any fiber fill stuff, so I stuffed it with cotton balls. There. I said it. I choose to think of it as being resourceful... yeah... that's it... resourceful...

Anyway... let's just get to the pattern.

This pattern has been moved. Please see Important Note above this post.

  2. I LOVE it!! I need to make one for my little guy. A football that's soft, so it won't break things. Oh, and I think you're very resourceful using cotton balls. It worked, and I didn't even notice any lumps. :-)

Round 3: [sc 2, 2 sc in the next st] around. (12)
Round 4: [sc 3, 2 sc in the next st] around. (15)
Round 5: Sc in each around. (15)

Round 7: [sc 5, 2 sc in the next st] around. (21)
Round 8: Sc in each around. (21)"
Am I not getting something right? Am I supposed to be repeating the stitches in the [ ] all around? Because if I do that the stitch count at the end (9, 12, 15, etc) does not add up correctly - please help!!

    1. haha! I can definitely relate! My 2 year old is hanging on my arm, yelling, "mom!" and my 5 year old just hit my 13 year old with a Play-doh rolling pin. ;-)
So glad you figured it out. It's amazing what a few minutes of quiet can do. lol
