Why is it that when I am there in the yarn department, I forget what it is that I wanted to make?
I knew I wanted to get some yarn.
I knew I had projects on my list of things to make. I just couldn't remember what they were!
How can I get yarn for a project when I don't know what the project is???
You see my dilemma?
My solution was to let my seven year old daughter choose a skein of yarn, and I would figure out something to make later.
She chose "Honeydew" in Red Heart Super Saver Yarn.
Since she chose it, I figured it only fitting that I make something for her. I decided to make leg warmers. The problem was, I didn't have a pattern and one of the kids was using the computer at the time.
Time for another solution: I'll write my own pattern.
Here is what I came up with.

I love it! My daughter loves being in a onesie and leg warmers on those not too cold/not too hot days. I can't wait to make her some.

ReplyDelete@7Kidsandcounting, Thank you for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteYou SHOULD try crocheting sometime. There are so many great tutorials online for beginners. You really only need to learn a couple of simple stitches at first, and it gets easier from there. ;-)

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a happy Easter weekend, too!
Did you just made it by yourself or you bought it from super malls and stores? I just ask you why because these leg warmers are looking good and high quality. I admit that it was better than mine so I guess I should have replicas of these wonderful creation.
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa! I did make them myself. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern you shared for the child leg warmers. I am new to crochet but have made several things. The terminology to "Round 1: Pivot work and make 33 sc evenly spaces around the side of the ribbing. Do not join." I am not understanding how to to do.
ReplyDeleteIs there an easy way of figuring this out?
Stumped

Love, Love, Love the leg warmers. I have made 2 pair already for my grand daughter. Her mother really likes them.
DeleteNow I have a request. I am looking for a simple sweater/cardigan for an infant 6-9 months or 1 year. Do you have anything close to this.?
Hi! Thank you sooo much!
DeleteUnfortunately, I do not have a sweater pattern right now. BUT, if you check out the directory on Crochet Patterns Central, there are quite a few free patterns to choose from. I hope you find something you like!
