IMPORTANT NOTE

Hello, and welcome.
I would like to inform you that I AM MOVING.
...well, sort of. I have started a new blog, Oui Crochet, that focuses just on crochet, crochet patterns, and crochet resources. I am in the process of building it up as a one stop shop for all things crochet, and I am very excited about it. I hope you will come over and check out my progress. :)
I will be moving my patterns from this site, to my new site. My idea is to leave this site active, so that you can still access other aspects of this site. I will also leave a modified "introduction" post where each pattern is on this site, as to keep all links active and make it so that you can easily locate the pattern's new home. As an added bonus, you will also find new printable/downloadable versions of my patterns.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure you, this change is a positive one. I look forward to seeing you at Oui Crochet.
Happy Crocheting!

Waffled Taco

Ok, so ever since I waffled that cornbread a couple days ago, I've been curious as to what other lovely yummies I can waffle.
Last night, we had tacos for dinner. Today, I wanted to use some of the leftovers for lunch. As I went to reheat the taco meat, I saw my waffle maker sitting there on the counter. Could it work???
Check it out!!!

It was so quick and easy! And most importantly, it was YUMMY! The tortilla got nice and crunchy and the cheese melted nicely. I can get used to waffling things!

Here's What I Did:

While my waffle iron heated, I reheated my taco meat and sliced up some cheese.
I took 2 corn tortillas and buttered one side of each of them.
When the waffle iron was hot and the meat was heated, I put one tortilla- butter side down- on the waffle iron. I put meat and cheese on top, then topped it with the other tortilla- butter side up.
Then waffle. That's it.
Mine took about 4 minutes, or so on Max setting.

  3. I like that idea. I have heard that waffle irons are multitaskers, and I've heard of bacon in them, but this is new to me--I'd like to try it sometime. Thanks for sharing.
