IMPORTANT NOTE

Hello, and welcome.
I would like to inform you that I AM MOVING.
...well, sort of. I have started a new blog, Oui Crochet, that focuses just on crochet, crochet patterns, and crochet resources. I am in the process of building it up as a one stop shop for all things crochet, and I am very excited about it. I hope you will come over and check out my progress. :)
I will be moving my patterns from this site, to my new site. My idea is to leave this site active, so that you can still access other aspects of this site. I will also leave a modified "introduction" post where each pattern is on this site, as to keep all links active and make it so that you can easily locate the pattern's new home. As an added bonus, you will also find new printable/downloadable versions of my patterns.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure you, this change is a positive one. I look forward to seeing you at Oui Crochet.
Happy Crocheting!

Toddler Flip Flop Makeover

I bought some cute little flip flops for my youngest daughter, but her feet happen to be a bit on the chunky side and they were too tight.
I decided that they needed a little makeover, so I grabbed my yarn and hook and after about 3 tries, I came up with a fix!

Here is what I started with:

I cut the straps off:

I crocheted my own straps:

Then, I attached the straps with hot glue:

Here's how they turned out:

They needed a little extra something, so I made a flower to attach to each:

What do you think?
I did write out the pattern as I made them, but it was kind of complicated and a little hard to understand. That's why I didn't post it. If you want to give it a shot, I can type it up anyway, and hopefully you can make some sense out of it.  Just drop me an email by clicking the "contact me" tab on the left.

  1. So cute! My daughter never wears anything I make...but she loves flip flops. They hurt her sometimes so I feel like these would be better for her. :)

    1. You should try it! I know they are much more comfortable for my lil' one... if only she liked walking in them! lol Hopefully she grows out of her "sensory issue" by next summer. I want to make more! :-)

No, I don't have an Etsy yet... It is something that I am looking into doing in the near future, though. :-)
