I decided that they needed a little makeover, so I grabbed my yarn and hook and after about 3 tries, I came up with a fix!
Here is what I started with:
I cut the straps off:
I crocheted my own straps:
Then, I attached the straps with hot glue:
Here's how they turned out:
They needed a little extra something, so I made a flower to attach to each:
What do you think?
I did write out the pattern as I made them, but it was kind of complicated and a little hard to understand. That's why I didn't post it. If you want to give it a shot, I can type it up anyway, and hopefully you can make some sense out of it. Just drop me an email by clicking the "contact me" tab on the left.
So cute! My daughter never wears anything I make...but she loves flip flops. They hurt her sometimes so I feel like these would be better for her. :)
ReplyDeleteYou should try it! I know they are much more comfortable for my lil' one... if only she liked walking in them! lol Hopefully she grows out of her "sensory issue" by next summer. I want to make more! :-)
