I looked into it a bit, and found out how to check my rank.

Yup.
Z.E.R.O.
Sure my blog is still new... but ZERO? Really?
Then I looked into it more. Turns out that they only give out rankings 4 times a year. And the last one they'd given was right before I began my blog.
Whew!
OK. That made me feel a little better.
I started looking into when the next page ranking would come out. Turns out the predictions were for the beginning of this month! Yay.
This made me slightly obsessed. I checked my rank nearly every day this month. Nothing.
until... TODAY!!!! I was super-surprised!!!
I actually got a rank!!!
I figured that I'd get a 1, since my blog is still very new, but I didn't!
I got a 2!!!!
Yippee!!!!!
Want to check your page rank?
I tried to add the page rank tool here, but it didn't work. Boo!
I'll link you up to the one I used, instead.
LOL Susie. I've known about it for a while as I used to create websites and did a wee bit of SEO back in the day. I checked mine a couple of months ago but as you said, my blog is new too and got a big fat 0.
ReplyDeleteI'm on 2 as well. The PR system doesn't really affect how popular your blog will be or what not. It's quite complicated but it's to do with blogs linking to your site and what page rank they have will determine what rank you will get. That's why I tend to not obsess over it now. LOL.

LOL! Thanks for the info, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI think that now that I am at least on the board, I can let it go and not obsess. HAHAHA!
I recently checked mine too, and finally had a rank. I to was so excited! :)
ReplyDeleteEvery search engine has an algorithm which used to decide the page ranks of any website and blog. It considers many factors for ranking of your site such as quality of content, popularity and so more. You can use Alexa Add-on in Firefox to check the page rank.
