Hello, and welcome.
I would like to inform you that I AM MOVING.
...well, sort of. I have started a new blog, Oui Crochet, that focuses just on crochet, crochet patterns, and crochet resources. I am in the process of building it up as a one stop shop for all things crochet, and I am very excited about it. I hope you will come over and check out my progress. :)
I will be moving my patterns from this site, to my new site. My idea is to leave this site active, so that you can still access other aspects of this site. I will also leave a modified "introduction" post where each pattern is on this site, as to keep all links active and make it so that you can easily locate the pattern's new home. As an added bonus, you will also find new printable/downloadable versions of my patterns.
I apologize for any inconvenience, but I assure you, this change is a positive one. I look forward to seeing you at Oui Crochet.
Happy Crocheting!

Yummy and Fun Pancakes

My family loves pancakes!
We eat them a few different ways.
Sometimes they are just plain with butter and syrup.
Sometimes we use a fruit syrup or add fruit toppings.
Sometimes we go all out and make a dessert out of our pancakes.
Sometimes we just have fun!

I really like this recipe as a base recipe. I like to add a tsp or so of vanilla to it, and sometimes I will replace some of the flour with oats that I pulverized with my Cuisinart. I have also used Smart Balance instead of butter with great results.

Here's one of our favorites:

Pancakes with butter, syrup, bananas, walnuts and whipped cream.

Here's what my younger kids asked for:

"Mickey Mouse" Pancakes with raisin face.

Mickey Mouse pancakes are easy and fun to make.

Serve and watch the smiles!
See... I told you it was easy!
You can get creative and use chocolate chips, other fruit, a mixture of cinnamon/brown sugar/melted butter, or a variety of other things for the faces.

You can even leave the faces out of the cooking process and let the kids make one of their own, after.

Have fun!

  1. Hi Susie,
We just "met" over on Bloggy Moms and I had to come visit your blog. Guess which Mickey Mouse pancakes are making it to our breakfast table this weekend? Thanks!

    I look forward to following.

  2. Oh pancakes, my fave! We even have pancake day over here where it's acceptable to eat as many as you can as an evening meal. Yay!

  3. Hi Ann! Thanks for stopping by! I hope you and your family enjoy the pancakes! :-)

Hi Lisa! LOL! I love all-you-can-eat pancakes! I usually double the recipe and make a ton... there is RARELY any leftovers. :-)
