Quick Paper Hand Puppets

Psssst... I have a secret!

It's a way to keep the kids involved in a fun activity so that you can cook dinner, fold the laundry, or play on the computer for a little while.
It only takes about five minutes of your time, yet the kids will stay involved for a good hour, at least!

Paper Hand Puppets

Yeah... I know.. I kind of gave it away with the title of the post. Oops. But it will be easier to find it later. Oh well.

Anyway, you can whip these little puppets up in no time, and the kids can spend time coloring them and playing with them. They are a lot of fun!

If you have a little more time, you can teach the kids to make them themselves. This is a fun learning opportunity. Sort of a "copy what I do" lesson. If you have older kids, you can give them one that you have made, and challenge him/her to deconstruct the puppet and make one of their own.
My five year old still has a little trouble making them on her own, but my seven year old has mastered it.

We made a lot of them. This is only a few.

 This project kept the kids busy for a long time. They made a ton of them. When they were finished, they put on little puppet shows and just played with them together. It was a lot of fun!
