Waffled Biscuits

OK... one more "Waffled" post. I just had to see if this would work, and it DID!
I cheated a little... ok, a LOT on the biscuits. I used Jiffy Mix. I know... nothing beats homemade. But in my defense, I didn't want to waste really good homemade ingredients in an experiment. (Either that, or I was just lazy...Shhhh....)

I mixed up some biscuits according to the package directions- basically I added milk.
I greased up my waffle iron with some bacon grease and waffled away. Quick and super easy!

A couple of tips:

  • Pat the dough to about 1/2 to 3/4 inches thick.
  • Form the dough into a circle-ish shape about 1/3 smaller in diameter than your waffle iron.
  • Don't let them cook too long or they will get kind of tough.

"Biscuits" and Gravy. YUM!

  1. Ahh, I really, really need to get me a waffle iron! Seriously...how have I survived this long without one. Maybe this week I will pick one up so I can try all your waffled foods!

    {Loving the banner...so the truth here too!...although it never gets SPARKLING clean around here...lol.}

  2. LOL! Yeah, the sparkling part is a bit of an exaggeration. HAHAHA!

    YES! Do get a waffle iron if you can. I've had so much fun playing around with mine. My family goes from, "Ok, enough already" to "Ooh! That's so cool!" HAHA!
